Rules and Regulations
 
Every class herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current U.S. Equestrian Federation Rule Book and will be used as a guideline.

 
Amateur/Owner/Trainer 

  • Adult, Jr. Exhibitor, or member of said person's family in whose name the horse is to be shown is registered under USEF, or lease owner.  Entry must not be professionally trained, nor may an A/O/Tr employ another person for the purpose of training or assisting to train an entry after Jan. 1, 2010.



Amateur Status


  • All persons 18 years of age and over must possess a current USEF Amateur Card.  This includes the halter and model classes.  Any class listed as "adult" is limited to amateurs 18 years of age and over.


 

Championships
  • Nominations:  To be eligible, horses must have entered, shown and been judged in any class in the division.  The first three (3) place ribbon winners are required to show in the championship or forfeit their winnings (see each division championship for forceback class).
  • Regular fees must be paid not later than one (1) hour before the session in which the class is shown.  Nominated entries not showing MUST scratch one (1) hour before the session.

 

 

Fees 


  • No entry will be accepted without full payment of stall and entry fees.  Management reserves the right to refuse any entry according to U.S. Federation Rule V, Sec. 11.
  • Campers:  $25.00/night (This includes anyone plugged into an outlet.  Campers must park in designated areas only!)
  • Every horse must have a stall or pay a grounds fee.  All box stalls are at least 10' x 10' with 2-part doors.  There are no tailboards in any of the stalls. Tie Stalls are no longer available at the fairgrounds.
  • Post Entries:  All entries accepted at the show will be assessed an additional $6.00 fee.  The show office will close one (1) hour prior to the start of each session.

 

 

Junior Exhibitor 
  • The age of the Junior Exhibitor on December 1, 2009 shall remain the same throughout the year 2010.

 

 

Novice
  • Horse that have not won three (3) first place ribbons in the division in which it is being shown.

 

 

Premiums 
  • All prize money will be attached to ribbons except for forcebacks which will be given at the time of entry to championships.

 

 
Refunds

  • Entry fee refunds on a veterinarian's certificate only.

 

 

Ring Procedure and Conduct
  • Exhibitors are hereby notified that entries will be allowed a maximum of two (2) minutes to enter the ring from the time the first horse enters the ring.
  • The ring cannot be used for exercise or schooling of horses prior to or during the show.  There will be a warm-up ring for this purpose.
